It's been a month!

Hope your weekend is starting off well! :) I've had a really good last two weeks. I want to post here every week, but I'm not so sure it's gonna happen because I'm a horrible procrastinator!

Picture time though!!

My friend Stephanie put this by my door one night. It had chocolate inside. She's so encouraging and pretty much the most bubbly person you'll ever meet!

We played mattress dominoes the other night. :D It was pretty much the best EVER. We're a little crazy. Just a little...

The guys though...are another story. In our dorm, they have the first floor and us girls have the top two floors. So the great wonderful young men that they are decide to tell us they're sending a box of pizza up to us! They put it in the elevator, and sent it to the second floor (my floor) but when we opened the box...surprise surprise...

Last week was really great though! The National Youth Worker's Conference was Tuesday through Thursday, and when I wasn't working I got to go to a few of the sessions. We had preachers like Johnny Pope and Kenny Baldwin who I didn't get to hear because I was at work. :( BUT I did get a really encouraging surprise visit from the Winbornes- Deanna's parents! They came for the NYWC and to see her. I got to visit with them during the week and Bro. Denny was awesome and bought me Starbucks! (I volunteered to be their second daughter for the week. :P)

My trainer for Personal Evangelism, Victoria, is also a bus worker so I've started riding her bus with the kids after church on Sundays. I love it! The kids are crazy and sing super loud and you can't help but love 'em. Our bus captain Shawn encouraged each of us bus workers this Sunday to ask God about giving us one kid to really take under our wing and pray for so I'm definitely going to do that.

I'm doing pretty good in my classes. It's funny though because the one class I thought would be the most boring, I'm actually really enjoying. It's Spiritual Formation which is about what God had ultimately intended for man when He created him, and what exactly happened instead...just alot of deep stuff hah. It's good though.

I'm going with a group tonight to hear Ed Dunlop who is a child evangelist. Can't wait! Y'all have a good week!
Oh and....I love mail. Just puttin that out there. :P

Just getting started!

Hey everyone! I know I took forever to get this started, but here we go!!

Last week was pretty crazy...since I got here on Saturday, there's been something going on every night of Champion's opening week. I've got a ton of pictures...and I'll put a few up here, but I'll put most of them on Facebook. This first post is going to be kinda long haha.

First of all, I present to you my new home:

I've got two really sweet roomies (Ashley and Megan) and I'll get some pics of them later. I was going to be rooming with my friend Rachel and Breanna (another freshman) but I guess God wanted me in a different room because they had me switch. It's all good though, they're awesome!

Monday night, we left in the bus for a ranch where we got to hang out and play volleyball, basketball, go boating, and play around in the game room with air hockey and all that. After we ate,  we drove up to this chapel on the property and had a song service (which I LOVED), a short testimony time where a few students and teachers and even our chef stood up and gave both praises about God and wisdom to us Champion students. Then Pastor Capaci preached a short sermon on "Enduring Hardness as a Good Soldier". It was a really neat service.

Tuesday, I had an English placement test (and I got into the higher class!), Orientation...which took FOREVER, and then I registered for classes. I have some awesome classes:

Spiritual Formation
Personal Evangelism
English & Grammar
Fundamentals of Speech
The Poetic Books
Women of the Bible (my favorite so far! Mrs. Sepe, the dean of women, teaches it. She is one amazing lady and she just really loves us girls.)

I also have choir which is pretty fun, and I signed up to sing with a group for Chapel. We have a chapel service everyday Monday-Friday so there's alot of chances for students to get to do special music in them.

Tuesday night was "Movie night with the Preacher" which is once a month. We saw "Letters to God". It's a story about a little boy who has cancer and encourages everyone around him to get closer to God. It's a really sweet movie. :) Here's we are with our pillows and snacks! Left to right is Rachel, Breanna, and of course me!

Wednesday we went bowling, and I'd have pics but I forgot my camera. :(

Thursday was the Traveler's baseball game...also the first baseball game I've ever been too!

Friday we went to the Little Rock mall and the IMAX and saw this cool movie about rollercoasters. It made you feel almost like you were actually on a coaster! There was a guy in an airplane there. I might be getting my MRS degree a little early. :D

Saturday I went visiting/soul-winning with all the other freshman. I enjoyed it, but I'm not as confident as I'd like to be at it yet. That's why all us freshman have to take Personal Evangelism- it's a class that teaches you how, and each new student is also paired up with an older one as their trainer. I don't know who mine is yet but I'll be finding out this week!

Saturday night we played "Minute to Win It" in the church auditorium, and it was too funny. I had to put an oreo on my forehead, slide it down to my mouth with no hands and eat it....and do three of those in one minute. I only succeeded once haha.

Classes started last Thursday, and all in all its been a really great week! God provided me a job at McDonald's and I have orientation for it today. Thanks so much for ALL of your prayers...I can't say that enough. :) Here's my address for all of you that have been asking! (I'll be posting at least once a week now so keep checkin in here!)
